Caitlin Clark Breaks Out Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Rookie Of The Year" PE

On the opening weekend of the WNBA season, all eyes were on the highly anticipated matchup between rising star Caitlin Clark and the Chicago Sky's Angel Reese. Seizing the opportunity to showcase her talent on the national stage, Clark debuted a special edition of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro - the "Rookie Of The Year" PE.

Already established as the face of Kobe Bryant shoes in the WNBA, Clark has been rocking a number of Kobe 6 and Kobe 5 player exclusives. This latest PE draws inspiration from both her Indiana Fever uniform and the Rookie of the Year award she's expected to win. The sneaker features a metallic silver base with contrasting red accents on the Swoosh, tongue, collar, and outsole. An iridescent finish on the heel adds a touch of flair.

While this specific pair won't be available to the public, Nike does have plans to release other Caitlin Clark Kobe models in 2025. A Kobe 5 "Indiana Fever" colorway is slated for June, while a Kobe 6 "Light Armory Blue" is scheduled for the holiday season.

Clark's rise to stardom has been nothing short of meteoric, and her partnership with the Kobe line has only further cemented her status as one of the league's most exciting young talents. Debuting a custom PE on opening weekend was the perfect way for her to make a statement and showcase her burgeoning signature line with Nike Basketball.
