Kid Cudi has opened up after going through what he calls a "stressful" experience of testifying in Diddy's high-profile sex trafficking trial. In a video posted to social media, Cudi expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support he's received from fans during this difficult time.
"Hey guys, so I, I just wanna say, man, I've been seeing all the love and support, and I just wanna say thank you so much, man. People have been hitting me up the past week just checking in and, and even today, and I just, it really means a lot to me, man," Cudi said. "You guys are the best. I love y'all. This is a stressful situation. I'm glad it's behind me and yeah, I love y'all, man."
Cudi's testimony in the trial came after repeated references to his brief relationship with Cassie, Diddy's former girlfriend, back in 2011. Cudi confirmed that he and Cassie dated that year, and believed she had ended her relationship with Diddy. However, Cudi claims that Diddy found out about their relationship in December 2011 and subsequently orchestrated a break-in at Cudi's home.
According to Cudi's testimony, on the night of the break-in, his security cameras were not working and intruders went through his belongings, including opening Christmas presents. Cudi's dog was also injured and left "jittery and on edge" after the incident. Cudi said he "wanted to confront [Diddy], I wanted to fight him" following the break-in, and filed a police report over the matter.
The trial has been a source of controversy, with rapper Young Thug taking to social media to call Cudi a "rat" for testifying against Diddy. However, Cudi's supporters have rallied around him, with the rapper expressing deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and concern from fans during this difficult time.
As the Diddy sex trafficking trial continues to unfold, Cudi's emotional testimony has shed light on the personal toll these high-profile legal battles can take. The rapper's willingness to speak out and share his experience is a testament to his resilience and commitment to the truth, even in the face of criticism from his peers.
