Megan Thee Stallion's Lawyers Refute Tory Lanez's "New Evidence"

ree

In a major development in the ongoing legal battle between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez, Megan's lawyers have forcefully pushed back against Lanez's claims of new evidence that could exonerate him.

Lanez was convicted last year for shooting Megan in the foot in 2020. However, his legal team has continued to insist that he is innocent and that new evidence could overturn the conviction.

In a lengthy rebuttal, Megan's attorney Alex Spiro dismissed these claims, stating that the "overwhelming evidence" used to convict Lanez at trial remains intact. This includes testimony from both Megan and her friend Kelsey Harris that Lanez offered them $1 million each to stay quiet about the shooting, as well as text messages from Lanez apologizing to Megan for shooting her.

Spiro also rejected the idea that Lanez's team has found a credible new witness or any new Ring doorbell footage that could prove Lanez's innocence. He accused Lanez and his supporters of pushing a "misleading narrative" and "traumatizing the victim."

This latest development comes after Megan herself angrily called out Lanez and his fans for continuing to harass her about the shooting. "At what point are y'all gonna stop making me have to re-live being shot BY TORY?!" she wrote on social media.

With Lanez currently incarcerated, Megan's lawyers are clearly determined to shut down any attempts to undermine the guilty verdict and further traumatize their client. The case remains a high-profile and contentious one, but Megan's side appears steadfast in their defense of the evidence and unwavering in their support for the victim.
