Tyler, The Creator and rising rap star Doechii have teamed up for a new collaborative track that was premiered at the recent Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris. The raucous new song, titled "Get Right," was produced by Pharrell Williams, who serves as the men's creative director for the luxury fashion house.
This marks the second collaboration between Tyler and Doechii, following their 2024 single "Balloon." In a recent interview, Tyler spoke about his admiration for the TDE signee, describing how he first discovered her music on YouTube. "I came across Doechii on something that YouTube recommended. It was the 'Catfish' record or 'Nissan Altima.' I was like, 'What is this? Damn, this girl pretty as hell.' And I clicked it and I was blown away and I just kept going and kept going and kept going," he said.
Tyler was so impressed that he immediately reached out to Doechii, telling her "N-gga, I'm gonna need you in a few months!" The two artists then linked up and collaborated on "Get Right," which debuted at the star-studded Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week show attended by the likes of Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Pusha T, and Future.
The new track features Pharrell's signature drums and has a sound reminiscent of Kanye West's Yeezus era. Tyler was clearly thrilled to have Doechii join him on stage, telling the audience: "I'm so happy she exists. We have to keep supporting everything she does. Keep supporting art. Keep supporting art."
The admiration is mutual, as Doechii named Tyler as one of her favorite artists in a recent interview. "Lately I've been into a lot of MF DOOM, rest in peace," she said. "Westside Gunn — he's so talented. So incredible. Tyler, The Creator, JAY-Z. I'm from the south so I didn't grow up on a lot of JAY-Z, but I recently went through all of his discography. Oh my God! Everybody knows he's crazy but damn! Hearing his growth?! Wow, so incredible. He's so cool."
With their new collaboration debuting at one of the biggest fashion events of the year, it's clear that the creative partnership between Tyler, The Creator and Doechii is blossoming. Fans can likely expect to see more from this dynamic duo in the near future as they continue to push the boundaries of hip-hop and cement their statuses as two of the genre's most innovative and influential artists.
